My best friend of 18 years and I are going into business together. We are both photographers, specializing in pregnancy, birth, and newborn pictures. For the past few years, we’ve been partnering up for jobs together, especially for birth photography sessions. You never know when a baby will chose to be born, and we have to be “on call” for the birth. With us both having our own families and children, it really works well for us to be each other’s backup support. If she has a client and can’t make the birth, then she calls me and we can usually work it out, and vice versa. She recently inherited her grandmother’s adorable, quaint house and we are planning to turn it into a photography studio. It is in the heart of downtown, and surrounded by other small businesses. This is truly a dream come true for us because we won’t have to pay rent there. We are working with small business xo to set up internet and phone at the studio and we will be all set.
