According to the New York Post, an Ex-Girl Scout Finance Director was sentenced to 3 to 9 years in jail for allegedly embezzling over $300K from the Girl Scout's payroll account.

Yaasmin Hooey, 35, was the former finance director for the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York. She apologized for the "situation" in court during her sentencing hearing in Manhattan Supreme Court where she failed to return the money she had taken. The money was deposited into Hooey's personal bank account via a series of over 60 checks which she forged. The money was allegedly spent by Hooey on a "lesbian cruise" with her girlfriend, a cosmetic lazer procedure, concert tickets and other items.
